| Great Two Days, One Crew |
|

Holy Dolphin Batmat! Steve, Pablo, Ana, and Carrie (for one day). teamed up for two days of fishing, and we probably should call it "catching". They made it through some choppy conditions to for a two day total of 40 gaffer size dolphin, a couple of wahoo, and a pair of blackfin tunas. We also had a blue Marlin up in the baits, but it never would eat a bait. What a great crew, and I really hope to see them very soon. Also check out Pablo's 52.8 lb dolphin!

The dolphin fishing is unbelievable right now, and I can only hope it last for a while longer.

| On The Fastrak! |

Lavern and Rudy from Fastrak, had Lowen, Greg, Sherwood, and Davon with them today. Last year these guys put up some impressive numbers, catching 8 wahoo. This year however they really out performed last years work. They combined for 8 more wahoo this year, but added 2 nice yellowfin tunas, one blackfin tuna, and 4 nice dolphin. I guess you can say they added a little more variety this time around. We even took time to go into the deeper water to try to find a blue marlin, but I think we had the gamefish faces on today. However that absolutely did not take away from a GREAT day on the water. I look forward to our trip next year should there be one with this great group of guys.

| Dedicated Fishermen |

Mike Rowe, Kenny, Fred, and Greg all fished with us today. Now you may say to yourself, "big deal", but they worked in Virginia yesterday and did not get back home until 2:00 am and then went fishing. Now you may still say "big deal", but Mike is getting married on Saturday and instead of spending time getting nervous or preparing for the wedding, he went fishing! We got back to the dock a little early, cleaned the fish in record time, (a dozen gaffer size dolphin) and off he went back to Pamlico county to have rehearsal, and the traditional rehearsal dinner. I personally think the whole deal was awesome.
The guys fishing with him are also fishing the Cape Fear Blue Marlin Tournament with us, so I will let you know how his wedding went.

| Rough, Rough, but Great Fishing |
|
Saturday, May 05 2007 @ 06:15 PM EDT Contributed by: Captain_Donnie

The weather was rough, but a lot of the boats decided to head out. Despite less than favorable wind conditions and sea conditions, the fishing was good.
Several boats caught tunas, wahoo, and lots of dolphin. We caught a very nice catch of gaffer size dolphin, 3 kings, 3 wahoo, and a white marlin to top off the day just right. Our first billfish of this year, and I hope the first of several.

Tom, Tommy, Mike, John, and Tim all did a great job catching the fish in some rather rough conditions, not too rough, but just a bit choppy. We have some open days during the weeks in May, and the fishing is good. Call to book a trip today.

| A Christmas Present! |
|

Brent and his band of merrimen enjoyed a day with us, thanks to Brent's wife Heather. Yes this was a Christmas gift to him, and they took full advantage of the day catching 5 really nice yellowfin, a dolphin, and a wahoo. Not exactly the Christmas turkey, but a fine substitute.
The weather was very rough yesterday, and realy did not start to calm down until very early this morning. The guys were up for the bumpy morning, so off we went. The rest of the fleet also had a nice mixed bag of dolphin, tuna , and wahoo. We have a lot of open dates in May so things are getting right for you and your crowd to go fishing.

| Success in Wahoo Challenge |
|
Sunday, April 22 2007 @ 12:53 PM EDT Contributed by: Captain_Donnie

The Calcutta Wahoo Challenge was cut to one day of fishing due to the weather, and what a day it was. The first fish we caught for the day was a blackfin tuna, but just a little while later we scored a nice wahoo. Although it was not a giant, we all new it would help with the aggrigate division. We then were able to catch a couple yellowfin to help dress up the dinner table. (We could have done very well with the tunas, but wahoo were what this tournament was all about.) Then with about 2 hours to go we scored again with a little nicer wahoo, and Curtis was able to get the fish to the boat in a very timely manner. We now had 2 fish to make the aggrigate, and one nice fish that might hold up in the standings as one of the heaviest caught in the tournament. After the weigh-in we were in second with the heaviest fish (39.9 lbs) behind the O Lucky Me, and we edged out the O Lucky Me by .7 lbs in the aggrigate. I knew that there were more boats to weigh-in, but we all felt good about the day, and Curtis, Russell, Greg, Thomas, Chris along with our mate Alan had a great time regardless of the outcome. Oh by the way we finished with the third heaviest fish, and second in the total aggrigate! What a day! WHEW!!!

Finally a day out on the water! The weather was cool but fishing is hot! In a flury of activity we caught 2 sm all blackfin tunas, 1 monster blackfin, 3 yellowfin tuna, and 4 wahoo. I would say that is a good catch. Lonnie, and Brian have fished with us on several occassions, and they brought Dave and his 10 year old son Christian along today. They both did awesome. As I have said before kids do great on these trips, and Christian was awesome to have on the boat, and cranked in a few of these critters also.
We had a trip scheduled for today, but they decided not to show, and this is why we have to take deposits, however that does not take away from yesterdays trip and I look forward to their next trip.
