Check out the bluefin video in the species & seasons page! We are looking for a few brave people that are up for a challenge! This type of fishing is not for the faint of heart, although you may want to bring someone who is willing to just watch so they can take pictures to prove you can wrestle with one of the srongest creatures in the ocean.

You will soon learn once you lace up the gloves that it is not all brute strenght that will subdue this beast, but you also have to be smart and use a little finese! We can do this one of 2 ways, either from the fighting chair or if you feel up for a little more challenge you can fight them standing up.

The Bluefin is fast, strong and never tires. I really think the only reason he comes to the boat is because he is tired of playing with us!

Bluefin fishing in this area is true "Big Game Fishing" at its finest! We use heavy line and heavy tackle, but don't be fooled I have seen grown men brought to tears by these fish, yet at the same time I have seen ladies subdue these creatures with finese in a very timely fashion.
