Please don't forget what the real purpose for the Sailfish Challenge was. The challenge was to raise money for kids! The Boys and Girls club of Carterett County and the Take a Kid fishing Foundation! This idea was brought to the Big Rock board by Curtis Strange in the memory of a young child who passed away this summer from SIDS. Dowd will always be remembered even though he never spoke a word. His eyes said more than any adult could ever imagine.

Sometimes as adults we forget the impotant things in life; such as holding a child for the very first time or seeing the ocean for the first time. I have 2 beautiful children. Nicky who is 5 and Gabbie who will be 3 at the end of December. I experience life,and everyone of the first in life again through them.

So to Daryl and Heather I want you to know that your loss has touched my heart in a way you will never know, but it has also helped me relearn the importance of the things I do have. You 2 are a picture of courage and strength. Dowd tought us more in 6 weeks than a lot of us learn in a life time.
