Our good friend Terry returns for yet another successful trip! Also once again he brings a first class group with him. Tommy, Jerry, Bo, Rick and of course our good friend Dr. Fred. (Our prayers are with you.) This day was a perfect weather day, and the fishing was not bad either. We ended up with 5 wahoo, three of which were citation size. One was 48, and two were 41 lbs, the others were over 30. We added a sailfish also, but had had 3 more chances to catch them, but only connected on one.
This was a great day to not only catch fish, but also a great day to just enjoy the weather and the ocean. Time to just take a second to reflect on life and all it has to offer. I am glad I could do that for these guys, and I truly do look forward to our next trip with all of them. Thanks for a great day on the ocean.

Grant Bridges fished with us, and he brought along some great guys. Several other boats got out to fish Saturday also. Gran, John, William, Mark, and Scott were a lot of fun to have on the boat. The fishing was surprisingly slow for this time of the year, but there was plenty of fun and practical jokes to keep the crew on their toes. Wahoos did not cooperate like they have been, but there were a few fish lost at the boat or on the bite throughout the fleet. We had 2 wahoo, and three dolphin, but we did miss a handful of bites also, and also donated 2 planers to Davey Jones' locker. Several sailfish were also seen or lost, and the Bill Collector did manage to hold on to one. We did have one come in on the teaser, but we could not get it to bite.
We have a trip this Saturday, and have many open days available this week. For details call us at 252-241-3353.

I have fallen behind a bit on my updates, so I want to get everyone up to speed. The first trip with Jeff and his family was a great day. We managed to catch a few dolphin, but the best catch was a nice sailfish for Jeff. (his first) I hope to have them come again, so we can do that again. Jeff is also thinking about fishing a tournament or two next year, and I hope he does, because he is first class.
Clyde went fishing with some guest, including Frank, Wayne and L.O. the fishing was a little sow this day, despit getting a bite before we even had all of our lines in the water. Wayne did his best with a nice amberjack, but had to turn it over to L.O. We did not have a nother bite until late in the day, but it was a quality bite. A wahoo cooperated, and that is how we ended the day.
Fishing picked up considerably for our last trip, and the fleet did much better the last two days. Steve, Rick, Alan, Derrick, and Matthew got busy right away with a wahoo, then several dolphin, and a couple more wahoo rounding out their catch. We went in a little early, due to a touch of under the weather feelings, but the guys hung in there and managed to catch 7 dolphin, and 3 wahoo. Steve says he wont let that be his last trip despite feeling under the weather, and looks forward to his next trip.
The wahoo have been biting for everyone, and sailfish are still very active. If you wish to book a trip please call us. 252-241-3353

Saturday was a sorta slow day, but we had a good time fishing with Charles, Daniel, Mike, and J.P. Charles told us that he really wanted to catch a sailfish, but we really needed to catch a dolphin or two for the wives at home. Whew! We caught 3 dolphin. That in my eyes is the same as when your wife ask you to pick up your clothes you get your shoes too! Now we get to go try the sailfish. That was awesome because we managed to catch 2 of those. For you wives that is sorta like letting your husband watch the whole game and the post game interviews. Anyway I am just picking these guys were awesome, and the fishing although a little slow as far as meat goes, was ok for the billfishing. I think most boats caught at least one billfish and several had more, and one private boat caught 4 sailfish and one blue marlin. The dolphin are still biting, because the Bill Collector caught several yesterday.

I apologize to Steve and his group. I thought I had done this update already. A first class group, and two great boys. Derrick and Justice were awesome and very mature on the boat. I believe both boys caught the two biggest fish. Derrick caught a sailfish, and Justice caught a nice king Mackerel. The others with the exception of Jared caught some dolphin, spanish mackerel, bluefish, a rainbow runner, and a wahoo. 8 different species in all. Jared I believe was WELL rested for his evening, because I think I saw him once during the whole day. Nice quiet guy though. HAHAHAHA Just Kidding, Steve was awesome, and I hope he brings the same group again. I will post pictures of their catch soon.

Sorry it took so long for the picture Steve.

A charter trip! Philip, Barbara, Neal, Shelly, and Brandon booked us earlier in the week to fish this last Wednesday. The weather was one of the best days of the year, and the fishing was one of the slowest. Philip asked me if would bring anything home, and I replied we almost always do, and at least we were able to bring some home. We managed to catch 3 dolphin, a king mackerel, and a skipjack. Brandon is only 7 or 8 and he managed to catch the biggest fish. Funny how that always seems to work out. Anyway Justin and I really enjoyed them and I hope they come fishing again soon.
Part of the reason for slow fishing was a very clear night and a very full moon. Sometimes those ingredients create a little bit of a slow fishing day. However we are on the waning cycle of the moon and the fishing will hopefully pick up very soon. We have many open dates available, so please call for details.

Colby and Nick got this trip together, and I am glad they did. We set out inshore of the boats fishing the Big Rock Tournament to try and catch some dolphin, the plan was to catch something to eat first then go and look for a billfish. We caught a dolphin pretty much right off the bat, and then and amberjack. Soon after that we had a doubleheader of sailfish. Now I thought that would happen later, but a very nice surprise. We caught a whole bunch of barracuda, and another amberjack, along with a nice catch of nice dolphin. We spent a lot of the afternoon looking for a blue marlin, but very few were caught for the tournament that day, and we did not catch one either, but we did have a couple of sailfish to top off a great day on the water. The day before we also caught a sailfish, and had a few dolphin, and had a blue marlin all over our teaser, so the billfish are around, and the dolphin are still providing some good action as well.

By the way this was the first billfish for both Marty, and Randy. (I hope I remembered that right?) And Nick picked on me all day so I cut him out of one of these pictures. Just kidding about picking all day he just waited til we got back to the dock, I picked on him all day, and had to do it one more time.

Where's Nick?
