Ok everyone lets talk about
one of the most unbelievable sights, and that
is a Blue Marlin jumping behind the boat on one
end of the line and you are on the other. The
Blue Marlin is taking line faster than you can
say "He's taking all my line!" Finally
the fish settles down and your heart slowly returns
to a somewhat manageable pace. Then comes the
hard part! Convincing that fish you are stronger
than it is or at least smarter. Don't worry hopefully
the mate and I can help you with that part. The
battle goes on for a few minutes or a few hours,
depending on the fish which can weigh from less
than 100lbs to over a 1000 lbs. Whatever the
case is once we get the fish to the boat we will
take a few pictures and then say thank you for
a well fought battle, and then release the Marlin
to fight another day. Unless it is a tournament
we try to let every fish go to help protect the
species, and even tournaments have a very high
release rate. So what do you say?
