Donnie Lee
Donnie
has been fishing all his life.
He started with live baiting
for king mackerel off the piers
of North Carolina. Fishing
is not just a job for him, but
a passion. He joined the Coast
Guard in 1987, and then became
the rescue swimmer for the cutter
he was stationed with. From
there he started fishing offshore
with a boat out of Baldhead Island.
Later he fished out of
Stuart Florida, Bahamas, Virginia
Beach, Oregon Inlet, and now he
and his family have settled in
Morehead City. He has fished many
tournaments, along with fishing
charter boats, and has had many
seasons of fishing 150 trips or
more.
